FOG NOIR 58
We have pleasure in announcing the launch serialisation of the novel ‘FOG NOIR 58’ by Sahlan Simón Cherpitel. This is a black novel depicting love, death and murder, and the first two chapters are released in the Book Section of www.goodreed.uk.
The serialisation will take place during the next few months. The best of this book depicts the culture of the 1950s, the films of that period, the loves and hates of the new free golden youth, which surfaced after the austerity of World War II.
That was a time when the quick rich splashed their money while the hangers-on could only stare and realise their dreams in the cinema of that materialistic period. If 1958 can be marked as the high point of materialism, it could also be seen historically as the turning point of the world’s return to the spiritual life by the arrival of GOD.
It is only after 1958 that flower power flourished, cults jumped into the open, new methods of healing appeared and the world’s youth, mainly from the West, refused to follow their parents into the obscurity of the nothingness of the material.
Instead many turned to new spiritual leaders, cults, apparitions, and pathways to self-realisation. It was at this point, one year before the novel begins that spiritual practices such as SUBUD arrived in the West from the East. Post 1958, marked that turning point from the flash of cash to the personalisation and enrichment of Being Human. Never again is materialism to overwhelm mankind to such great heights. It is to this end that Sahlan Simón Cherpitel describes the end of material futility to the death, with its technologies and fantastic cinematic tales to the flowering of human love, small though its survival may seem.
